Terms of Service
Last updated: September 9, 2026
Please read these Terms before using Dry Run. They explain what the app is, what it is not, and the basis on which it is provided. By using the app you accept them in full.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Dry Run ("Dry Run", "the App", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live, to use Dry Run.
2. What Dry Run is
Dry Run is a practice tool. It puts you on a simulated voice call with an artificial character that plays the other person in a difficult conversation — an interviewer, a report, a peer, a manager — using either a situation we wrote or one you described yourself. Afterwards it shows you a transcript of the call and an automatically generated score across six dimensions.
It is a rehearsal room. It is not the conversation, it is not a prediction of the conversation, and it is not a person.
3. Not professional advice
Everything in Dry Run — the personas, the things the other side says, the scores, the notes, and any suggestion the app makes — is provided for general practice and informational purposes only. It is not professional, legal, employment, HR, financial, medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your actual situation.
In particular: a score in Dry Run says nothing about how a real conversation will go, and must not be treated as an assessment of your ability, your performance at work, or anyone else's. Do not use Dry Run to make decisions about employment, discipline, dismissal, compensation, medical or mental-health matters, or any legal question. Dry Run is not a mental-health service and provides no crisis support. If a conversation you are facing is causing you real distress, please speak to a qualified professional or an appropriate support service.
4. Artificial characters and generated content
The other side of every call is generated by artificial intelligence, in a synthetic voice. It is not a real person, it is not a recording of a real person, and it does not represent the views, words, or likeness of any actual individual — including anyone you may have had in mind when you wrote the situation.
Because the content is generated, it can be inaccurate, inconsistent, or unhelpful, and it may occasionally say something you find blunt, unfair, or upsetting — a hostile character is meant to push back, and it may do so clumsily. Do not treat anything it says as factual, as advice, or as an opinion held by us. If a call goes somewhere you did not want it to go, you can end it at any time.
5. What you write, and what you may not use the App for
You are responsible for the situations you describe and for anything you say during a call. Situations often involve real people, so please describe the circumstances rather than identifying anyone unnecessarily, and do not enter anyone's sensitive personal information — health details, financial details, government identifiers, or anything similar — whether it is yours or someone else's.
You agree not to use Dry Run to harass, defame, threaten, impersonate, or build a case against a real person; to generate content that is unlawful, hateful, sexual, or abusive; to practise deceiving or manipulating anyone; to break any law or anyone's rights; or to scrape, overload, reverse engineer, resell, or otherwise interfere with the App or its servers. We may suspend or remove access for any of these.
You keep ownership of what you write. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit it to the extent needed to operate the App for you — to compose a character, run your call, store your transcript, and produce your score. We do not use your content to train models.
6. Subscriptions, minutes, and cancellation
Dry Run is a paid app. A subscription grants a set allowance of conversation minutes for each billing period, and the allowance resets when the period does. Unused minutes do not carry over from one period to the next. Minute top-ups are sold separately as a one-off purchase; those are added to your balance and are not reset by a period rolling over.
All purchases are made through the Apple App Store and are charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown at purchase unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. Prices vary by region and may change; we will tell you before a change affects a renewal, and Apple will ask for your consent where required.
You can cancel at any time in Settings on your device, under your Apple Account subscriptions, or from the App's profile screen, which takes you there. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the App or your Dry Run account does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies, not by us. Minute top-ups are consumable purchases and are generally not refundable once used.
7. Availability and changes to the App
Practice calls depend on third-party services, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time. We may also change the situations we offer, the scoring, and the plans we sell. Where a change would remove something you have already paid for, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you first.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP AND ALL CONTENT IN IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that a call will connect or complete, or that any persona, transcript, or score will be accurate, appropriate, or useful. To the extent a warranty cannot be excluded under applicable law, it is limited to the minimum permitted by that law.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, in no event will Dry Run, its developer, or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, earnings, employment, opportunity, data, goodwill, or other intangible loss, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App or your reliance on anything in it — including, without limitation, the outcome of any real conversation, interview, negotiation, or employment decision, or any distress arising from a generated character — whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory, and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or INR 1,000. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of the above may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dry Run and its developer from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, the content you enter, or your reliance on anything in the App in a manner inconsistent with these Terms.
11. Intellectual property
The App — its software, design, branding, written situations, and scoring — is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial practice, subject to these Terms.
12. Apple App Store
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for the App and is not responsible for any claim relating to it, including product liability, any failure to conform to a legal requirement, or any claim under consumer protection or privacy law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's own terms, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting your account from the profile screen and uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will do so.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date, and your continued use of the App after they are posted constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to applicable law, the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App.
16. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and the unenforceable provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
