Privacy Policy

Birta is built to respect your privacy. Almost everything you do in Birta — your eye exercises, vision logs, prescriptions, symptom entries, reminders, and settings — stays on your device. This policy explains the limited information involved when you use Birta and how it is handled.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

The health- and vision-related information you enter — prescriptions, symptom and comfort logs, vision history, exercise activity, streaks, and app settings — is stored locally on your device. So that the Birta home-screen widget and Apple Watch app can display it, this data may be shared on your device through a private app group that only Birta can access. None of this information is transmitted to us, and we cannot see it.

2. Purchases and Subscriptions

Birta offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions ("Birta Premium"). Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store, and we never receive your payment details. To manage subscriptions and unlock premium features, we use RevenueCat, Inc. as our subscription provider. When you purchase or restore a subscription, RevenueCat receives transaction information from Apple along with an anonymous, app-generated identifier used to keep your subscription status in sync across your devices. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or Apple ID. You can read RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

3. Content Downloads

Birta downloads exercise visuals, audio, and articles from our content delivery network so the app stays small and up to date. These are standard, read-only downloads. As with any internet request, they involve your device's IP address, which is used only to deliver the content and not to identify or track you. No personal or health information is sent in these requests.

4. No Tracking or Advertising

Birta does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not show ads.

5. No Account Required

Birta does not require you to create an account or to provide your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.

6. Device Permissions

• Notifications (optional): Used only to deliver the exercise and 20-20-20 break reminders you choose to set. Reminders are scheduled entirely on your device.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your vision data lives on your device, you control it at all times. You can delete individual entries within the app, or uninstall Birta to remove all locally stored data. Subscription records held by Apple and RevenueCat are tied to your purchase and can be managed through your Apple ID subscription settings. You may also contact us to request deletion of subscription data associated with your anonymous identifier.

8. Children's Privacy

Birta is a general-audience wellness app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
